Not sure what to say?

Becky had many friends. I am privileged to have been one of the friends who met her as a first grader at Corydon Elementary School. We competed in spelling bees, started 4-H together, went to 4-H camp together, started band together, began to play softball together as grade school kids. We traveled to Washington, DC with a group together and we double dated in high school, and left for UK at the same time. We had great fun and formed a lasting friendship that lasted for almost 70 years...

Becky was a wonderful person to know and love from the time you met her. She was always happy to see you and share a smile, conversation and love for her family. She beamed when she spoke of her sons and family! Wonderful memories and warm thoughts! Sending our love and prayers!

Sending condolences to you all.
Becky was a sweet friend, we were co-workers at the Evansville IN office. She always talked about her family with a twinkle in her eye. She was a special lady.

I worked with Becky many years and she was always great friend and coworker. She was always upbeat and positive no matter the circumstances. She will be missed
So very sorry for your loss

I worked with Becky. We had many laughs together! She was always in a great mood and I never saw her mad. Heaven gained an angel. I’m sorry for the family’s loss and I will pray for peace. Godspeed my friend.

I worked with Becky at thevEvansville post office. She was a lot of fun and a pleasure to be working with. So very sorry for your loss. Many prayers for God's comfort for you.

Becky was my first supervisor when I was hired as a clerk at the main PO in Evansville.
She was a super person and a great boss.
She will be missed.

Becky was the sweetest, kindest person anyone could ever meet. Dedicated to her family, her job, her church and anything she did. She will be so missed. She loved going on trips with her family after retirement and lived life to the fullest. She was such a special person. Not only was she a former coworker, but a good friend.

Oh Becky you will be missed. The most gentle caring woman I ever met. Love you Becky Bugg

REBECCA's Obituary

Rebecca Jane “Becky” Powell Bugg, 74, of Henderson, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 17, 2025, at St. Anthony’s Hospice Lucy Smith King Care Center with her loving family at her side.

She was born in Henderson, Kentucky, on April 12, 1951, to the late Ralph Melton Powell and Dorothy Janet Melton Powell.  Becky began working part-time for the U.S. Postal Service at the Reed, Kentucky, Post Office, which turned into a 42-year career retiring as Postmaster.  She worked all aspects of the business, from docks, front counter, letter carrier, investigator, and eventually finishing as Postmaster in Morganfield, Kentucky.

While Becky’s eyes were focused on getting the community their mail, her heart and priorities were family and friends, above all else.  She never missed her sons’ events, a niece’s recital, or nephew’s performance.  Becky’s altruism was so deep, she refused personal praise and promotion from others…always putting those ahead of her, a devout Christian.

Becky was a loyal member of Dixie Methodist Church.  She served as lead organist and on multiple church committees volunteering to assist friends and the community.  Becky loved to travel with family and friends from Caribbean cruises, Rocky Mountain escapes or a beach getaway, she cherished being around loved ones no matter the scene.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Sandra Kay Powell Woodard.

Survivors include two sons, Bradley Bugg and his wife, Sonja, of Panama City Beach, Florida, and Brian Bugg with his partner, Tamra Lockyear, of Newburgh, Indiana; two brothers, Ralph Steven Powell and his wife, Sarah, and Alan Vincent Powell and his wife, Karin, both of Little Dixie, Kentucky; grandchildren—Justin (Emily), Jessica (Adam), Garrett, Gavin (Savannah), Hudson, Brayleigh, Trevor, Turner (Emily), and Taylor; great-grandchildren—Olivia, Brady, Kinlee, Esmae and Ari;  Best Friends—Sue Ellen Clements, Melinda Pfingston, Karen Ramage, and Jenny Doane.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, November 22, 2025, at Rudy-Rowland Funeral Home.  Pastor Mark Hobgood will officiate.  Burial will be in Shady Grove Cemetery in Poole, Kentucky.

Visitation will be from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, November 21, 2025, and until service time Saturday at the funeral home.

Contributions may be made to Dixie Methodist Church, Little Dixie, Kentucky.

Pallbearers will be Brad, Brian, Justin, Jacob, Garrett and Gavin.
