Regina Yvette Moten “Gina”, was born in Gary, IN to the parents of Leonard Brooks and Lurla Moten on March 1, 1966. As the youngest out of her siblings but the most outspoken, Gina let it be known early on that she was not afraid to voice her opinions and stay true to her values and beliefs on certain matters, which only made her more authentic and admirable. Regardless of her free-spoken and forthright viewpoint, she was revered by family and friends, allowing her to maintain a close-knit relationship with her brothers, sisters, and loved ones throughout her childhood and adulthood.

Gina attended the Historic Roosevelt High School, where she graduated in 1984. Gina relocated to Lafayette, IN where she would spend the latter years of her life with those she cherished the most, her grandchildren.

On July 9th, 2024 Gina took her earthly departure and gained her wings. She leaves behind to cherish her sons Steven and Christian Reed, her daughter Alexandria Reed, sisters Karen Moten, Yolanda Bonds, Marjorie Suggs, and Jennifer Lackey, brothers Michael and Steven Moten and Jeffery Tucker, aunts Gloria Williams and Mary Brazier uncle Thomas Bolden and a host of family, friends and loved ones.
