Reginald's Obituary

Reginald Lynn Jackson, 58, passed away in a local hospital in Greenville, Texas on Sunday, July 6, 2025.  

Reginald Lynn Jackson was born in Greenville, Texas on Wednesday, July 20, 1966 to the parentage of Robert Lee and Robbie Joe Gordon Jackson.  He received his formal education from schools in the Greenville Independent School District - attending and graduating from Greenville High School in with the Class of 1995.

At an early age, Reginald joined Bethlehem Baptist Church under the leadership of Dr. J. B. Dunlap and remained a life long member with the church under the leadership of Rev. Micah D. Johnson.  While at Bethlehem, Reginald sang in the Children’s Choir, Male Chorus and the Mass Choir.  He was a faithful and devoted attendee at Bethlehem Baptist Church until his health failed him.

Reginald was an excellent Chef and he loved to master the pit.  A cherished memory of Reginald is when he assisted with an elegant dinner party for the principal owner of Superior Automotive Group in Fayetteville, Arkansas.  Among the elite guests in attendance were J. B. Hunt, GeraldTyson of Tyson Foods, Dr.Tom Coker, a prominent Orthopedic Surgeon in Fayetteville and Dennis Smiley, President of Arvest Bank in Bentonville, Arkansas.  Another treasured memory of Reginald is when he assisted with a party for Ross Perot when he was a candidate for the presidency.  In his leisure time, Reginald enjoyed singing hymns of faith, discussing biblical truths and fishing.

Reginald worked in various jobs and capacities.  He worked remotely as an executive assistant for Surity Select Insurance Company, reporting to the main office in Greenville, South Carolina.  In his younger years, he worked in shipping and receiving customer service and as a delivery driver for various companies, including McGaughey’s Drug Store, Sears Roebuck and Total Care Pharmacy - all in the Greenville area.  He worked a few  years in Home Health Care and served as Technical Specialist for Bethlehem Baptist Church.

Loved ones left to cherish Reginald’s precious memory:  two brothers, Ronald Jackson (Cynthia) and Rodrick Jackson (Elizabeth); aunts, Pamela Jackson and Kathryn Gordon; nephews and nieces, Rodrick Letornace Jackson, Jr., Ronald Jackson, Jr., Kamal Jackson, William Reed Gordon, Moreover Gonzalan, Karmal Moore, Jalyn Kamal Jackson and Alain Jackson; cousins, Jonequa Jackson, Jermaine Jackson, Jermale Jackson, Maranda Jackson, Makinze Jackson, Kaletha Gonzalan, Vincent Hawkins, Vickie Hawkins, Brianna Ortega, and Javonnie Latimer; godsons, Adrian Hawkins and Anthony Hawkins and a host of other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by:  parents, Robert Lee Jackson, Sr and Robbie Joe Gordon Jackson; brother, Rodney Leray Jackson; grandparents, Will Jackson and Cleo Jackson and Willie Gordon and Elma Gordon; aunt, Birdie Quals and uncles, Randy Jackson, Terry Gordon and Billy Gordon.
