Frank Thompson, Sr. was born September 2, 1950 in Columbus, Mississippi to the late James Thompson, Sr. and Ruthie Mae Thompson.He accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age and united with the Southside Missionary Baptist Church. He answered his call into the ministry has he continued his Christian walk.He was a veteran of the United States Army. After serving his military duty, he became an avid carpenter and gardener.He is preceded in death by his parents, James Thompson, Sr. and Ruthie Thompson; two brothers, James Thompson, Jr. and Larry Thompson, Sr.; stepson, DeWayne Fisher; nephew, Tommie Harris, Jr.; niece, Taylor Harris; and sister-in-law, Sarah Fisher.He is survived by his wife, Margie Thompson; children, James Tate, Pricilla Tate, Beverly Thompson, and Frank Thompson, Jr.; three sisters, Martha Thompson, Catherine Harris of Columbus and Margo Berry of Stockbridge, Georgia; two brothers, Donnell (Shelia) Thompson and Melvin (Debra) Thompson of Columbus; seven grandchildren, Candance Fisher, Ashley Thompson, Nathasia Beonka Montgomery, Tiquasha Wilson, DeUndra Brown, Alexis Fisher, and Tiger Thompson; step-daughters, Aleshia Council and Carolyn Vance; brother-in-law, Charlie Fisher; sister-in-law, Hattie Wilson; aunts, Ella Dixon of Dallas, Georgia and Charlene Williams of Columbus; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
