Not sure what to say?

Brother John was a great man of God. He was always an encouragement to me when I attended Jones County Junior College in 1988. He always had time for the students that were involved in the Baptist Student Union. I was chosen to go to New Orleans in 1988 for a mission trip. It was my first time to ever get to see the city. We had a great team. He would ask me about Dr. Frank Hendry was cane back to the church where I accepted the Lord as my personal savior. I remember when I first met mama...

Brother John was one of the nicest guys I have ever known. He always demonstrated a humility and love for the Lord and a love for students. I will be in prayer for his family. I wish you all the best as you mourn your loss. The Lord will see you through.

Candace & family, I'm so sorry for the loss of your beloved father & grandfather! His story speaks of the opportunities he had to make a Godly impact on an untold number of people! A Heavenly celebration of a life well lived was waiting for him! Love you Peach!

I express sorrow to the family and friends of Rev. John F. Sumner, Jr. I pray our Lord's love, comfort and strength for each of you. I am so thankful for his friendship. I am thankful for his dedicated life of service for our Lord and His Church. He truly invested in many across generations. His witness will never end.

Can only imagine how happy this fellow is right now in the presence of our Savior he loves much, and his lovely wife by his side once again.

I am so sorry for your loss. He was a good man. You're in my prayers.

Offering our deepest condolences during this difficult time.
