Not sure what to say?

"Enter in thou good and faithful servant" are words reserved for this precious Saint. He will rule and reign forever in a place prepared for him with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. What a glorious time knowing that Brother and Sister Pruett are once again united is a blessing beyond compare. What an honor and privilege to be a part of their family. We will miss them and think of them often.

Dear Karen...
The last time I saw your parents was at my Daddy's services! I loved the comforting words Bro. Pruett spoke, and listening to them sing together! It was a great comfort to me that they were there on one of the hardest days of my life! Sending my love and prayers to the family as you say your earthly "good byes".

My father left a legacy of faith and devotion. He built a firm foundation upon Christ that I still stand firm on today. I am eternally grateful for the loving, caring, generous man of God that my father was.

Rev. Luther's Obituary

Luther William Pruett, Jr., age 87, died in the early morning hours of Sunday, March 24, 2019 in Tomball, Texas.  Luther was one of 16 children born to Luther William Pruett, Sr., and Angie McPike Pruett.  Born on June 16, 1931, in Huntsville, Texas, Luther was the first-born son.

On February 11, 1950, Luther married Betty Jo Tucker in Magnolia Park Assemblies of God Church in Houston, Texas.  The couple had two daughters, Brenda, born in 1951, and Karen, born in 1957.  Luther and Betty were married until Betty’s death on October 20, 2006.

Luther’s early life did not afford much opportunity for him to gain an education, but he modeled a love of books and reading and took pleasure in the college education of his children and his grandson’s law degree.

He worked many years in downtown Houston’s City Hall in the water department, retiring from there. His wife and young daughters enjoyed visiting him at work.  He seemed to find interesting aspects of his work to show them and also helped them navigate the downtown area for exciting events like the Fat Stock Show and Rodeo which was held just across the street from his office.

In 1968, he began pastoring Magnolia Assemblies of God Church in Magnolia, Texas. He served there until 1976 when he left Magnolia to pastor Field Store Church in Waller, Texas. He pastored Field Store until 2014.

Luther is survived by three siblings, James, Diane and Billy, his two daughters, Brenda Dillard and Karen Reip, and his grandson, Clint McGee.
