Rhonda's Obituary

Rhonda June Watson, 67, was born on June 24, 1958, to Clarence Sylvester and Lois Yoveen (Wallingford) Myers in Ryan, Oklahoma. Rhonda passed away on October 26, 2025.

Raised in Dibble, Oklahoma, Rhonda carried her small-town roots with her wherever she went. While working at a restaurant in Purcell, she met the love of her life, Johnny Wayne Watson, and the two were married in 1978 at his mother’s house-- a simple beginning to a long, full life together. Over the years, they made homes in Oklahoma City for 14 years, Luther for 7, and Arkansas for 20 before returning to Dibble in 2013 to be near her family.

Back home, Fridays became “Sister Day,” a standing tradition filled with games, laughter, and lunch dates that were cherished. Rhonda was a good cook who never turned down a Sonic corn dog. She knew how to enjoy the simple things in life. Rhonda had a soft spot for sentimental movies and old country music like George Jones, Hank Williams, and Tammy Wynette.

Stubborn, opinionated, and never one to be told what to do, she lived life entirely on her own terms. To her husband, she was, in his words, “the best thing that ever happened to me.”

Rhonda was preceded in death by her parents, CS and Lois Myers; sisters,  Roberta Hicks, Barbara Mayberry, Anna Redman, Valeta Duncan; and brothers-in-law, Dean, Rex, Everette, Harry and Mark.

She is survived by her husband Johnny Wayne Watson; sisters Nina Duffy, Melva Henderson, Janis Warren, and Mary Holt; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M., Thursday, October 30, 2025, at the Eisenhour Funeral Home Chapel in Blanchard.  Burial to follow in Dibble Cemetery.  Arrangements are under the direction of Eisenhour Funeral Home of Blanchard.  Online obituary and guestbook are available at www.eisenhourfh.com.
