Richard was one of the biggest influences in my life. He and Mary Jane babysat me from the time I was too young to remember. They were my second parents and they were the kindest most loving people. As a young troublemaker, Richard was larger than life to me and so intimidating at times especially when I was sent to the "Red Chair". Richard was not that at all, he was the nicest gentleman and gave so much love to me and I am so grateful. I feel very lucky to have shared so much time...

Mr. Dewees was a one of a kind gentleman. Always with a genuine smile and friendly greeting. I'm truly sorry to hear about the loss of this fine man. Condolences to his entire family.

What a wonderful soul. He never met a strange but always made a friend. One of the sweetest person I have ever met. I will miss seeing him around buying an ice cream for his wife from Burger King. You will be missed by many.

Some of my best memories are being at the lake playing cards or on the boat with Uncle Richard. He always had a smile. I can honestly say he is one of my favorite people. If people were half as kind and Uncle Dick and Aunt Jane, we would be truly blessed. Amazing man, amazing Uncle, and amazing friend.

When I owned LeMar Shop I would see Richard just about every day . I loved talking and catching up with him whenever we saw each other. And he sure loved his family! Richard was a special person. Thoughts and prayers are with everyone.

He was an amazing Man Always made everyone smile God Bless! Love you all, Greg and Teresa

May it be your consolation to find in God above strength in his understanding and comfort in His love. Richard was a very special gentleman...a special friend to many ...
