Not sure what to say?

Sending my thoughts and prayers to the family of Rich at this very difficult time. Rich touched my life when I really needed help. He kindly volunteered to watch my young son and walked him to preschool so that I could get to physical therapy after a difficult surgery. His kindness was without bounds. He made a difference to me and my family through his caring and compassion.

Dear Richard, I did not know you very well but I have heard that you were an extraordinary man; a wonderful husband to Lisa and a proud and supportive father to Nikky, Natalie, and Amanda. Prayers that you rest in peace and meet your Eternal Father swiftly and enjoy being present in his Heavenly Kingdom. Prayers and blessings to your family and friends.

My brother was so thoughtful. Every year
on my Birthday He and his Girls would call me and sing Happy Birthday , it was so
special. Then after my Ed passed 6 years
ago every year He would come over and
bring me flowers and a card. I will always
remember those times. He always made
me feel loved and cared for. I will hold on
to my memories with him and I will miss
Him. Rest in peace Richard , LOVE YOU
ALWAYS

My condolences to Lisa and the entire family

Lisa & family, you are in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. So sorry for your loss.

Richard's Obituary

Richard E. Evans, passed away, Tuesday, August 22, 2023 at home in St. Louis, MO.

Loving Husband of Lisa M. Evans (nee MacDonald) for 33 years;Proud Father of Nicole (Gregory) Evans-Turk, Natalie (Asher) Enoch, and Amanda Evans; Dear Brother of Rosalie (the late Robert) Underwood, James Evans, Joan (the late Ed) Owen, Tony (Mary) Evans, and the late Robert Evans; Beloved Son of the late Tony J. Evans Sr. and Helen M. Evans (nee Jamboretz); Dear Uncle, Cousin, Dog Grandpa, and Friend to many.

Rich was born in St. Louis on February 20, 1949.  He grew up in North Saint Louis and attended O'Fallon Technical High School. He worked as a graphic artist in the silkscreen printing industry for over 40 years. He was a part of the Holy Name Society at Holy Family Parish in South City. Rich was a talented artist. He had an amazing capacity for creativity. He put his artistic skills to use by painting murals, stage sets, and the occasional forgotten school assignment for his daughters. For every holiday or anniversary, Rich would make his wife a painting or a handmade card. He was a collector. He was well-known at local thrift stores, where he discovered many treasures that he passed down to his family.

Rich had a passion for fishing, especially fly-fishing. People would be amazed to learn how much fishing gear he has. Rich was a proud dad and he was a huge volunteer for anything that involved his family. People would say that he did nothing but brag about his girls. He coached them in t-ball, basketball, and softball, and he was always the loudest parent on the sidelines… even when he wasn't the coach. He will be missed dearly by his wife, daughters, and dog.
