Richard Roy Evarts

Mr. Evarts was my violin teacher from 4th grade to 12th. He was a very talented teacher. I remember him saying that we shouldn't watch too much TV! He was right about that and so many other life tidbits. He was much beloved.

Richard and I grew up in Henniker, NH. He was a close friend and confidant our whole lives. I loved him as a brother and will sorely miss him. My condolences to Richard’s family.

Mr. Evarts was a kind and wonderful soul.

I am saddened to hear of the death of my beloved middle school violin tutor Mr. Evarts. Also saddened I did not find out about the funeral sooner. Simply put he was one of the best men I have been graced to have in my life, and muscian par excellence. I enjoyed my time in his home with his lovely wife as well. I will pray for his dear soul and will never forget the love, concern and magic he brought to my life.

As the angels rejoice and welcome Mr. Richard Evarts home may the Evarts family find comfort during this time .I only met him briefly but his friendly and social personality will be remembered.

I enjoyed talking with Richard when he was here in New Hampshire and when I visited Georgia. We had interesting conversations on a variety of subjects.
I had the good fortune of attending a violin concert he gave many years ago
in Henniker and was amazed at his skill
