Beloved son of the late Faye and Norman Krause.  Loving brother of Barbara Krause and the late Diane (late Donald) Green.  Dear uncle, great uncle, cousin and friend.

Richard was a graduate of Horton Watkins Ladue High School, Class of 1963, where he received a National Merit Commendation.  After high school, he attended Washington University in St. Louis where he earned his Electrical Engineering degree, with honors, in 1967.  Richard served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserves at Camp Pendleton.

In 1968, Richard joined Sachs Electric.  Sachs Electric was a premier electric company in the Midwest, and Richard’s father, Norman, was President of the company from 1973 to 1983.  Upon his retirement from Sachs, Richard became a part time employee at Amitin’s Book Store and Hirschfeld Galleries while he pursued a career in fine arts.

Richard was an accomplished painter in oils of portraits, as well as animal and nature scenes, completing over 300 canvases.  Richard’s oil on canvas series devoted to American war hero Audie Murphy is part of the Audie Murphy Museum in Greenville, Texas.
