Funeral Services for Richard Lopez, Sr., 63, of Rosenberg are scheduled for Saturday November 23, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at The Chapel of Hernandez Funeral Home 800 Fourth Street in Rosenberg. Burial will follow at W.O.W Cemetery in Rosenberg.Visitation will be held Friday November 22, 2013 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. at Hernandez Funeral Home 800 Fourth Street. A prayer service will be conducted at 6:00 p.m.Mr. Lopez was born July 31, 1950 in Richmond, Texas and he passed away November 19, 2013 at his home in Rosenberg, Texas. He was an avid sports fan and his favorite football teams were the Houston Texans and the Dallas Cowboys. He enjoyed shooting pool, playing domino's and bingo, Tejano music and dancing. He is preceded in death by his parents Pablo and Maria C. Lopez, Sr.He is survived by his loving children Richard Lopez, Jr., Terry L. Ortiz and husband Dominic, Diane L. Velasquez and husband Paul; the mother of his children Mary P. Lopez whom together they remained the best of friends; his brothers Pablo Lopez, Jr. and Alberto Lopez, Sr. along with 9 grandchildren as well as a host of other family members and friends.
