Richard Palinski, 91, of Burkburnett, passed away Friday, July 26, 2024 in Altus, Oklahoma.
Graveside service with full military honors will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 31, 2024 at Burkburnett Memorial Cemetery with Pastor James Porterfield, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Owens & Brumley Funeral Home in Burkburnett.
A son of the late Michael and Helen (Magdos) Palinski, Richard was born on August 25, 1932 in Gary, Indiana. He married the love of his, Coleen Pierson, on October 1, 1955. Richard proudly served in the United States Air Force, retiring with 21 years. He spent the next 20 years with Civil Service, retiring as an Instructor at S.A.F.B. He was a 1979 graduate of Wayland Baptist University. Richard was a member of Central Baptist Church in Burkburnett where he served as a Deacon and taught Sunday School for many years. He was strong in his faith and loved the Lord. Richard was an avid gardener and enjoyed working in his greenhouse.
Along with his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Coleen Palinski; his daughter, Paula Martin; his son, Richard Paul Palinski; and two brothers and one sister.
He is survived by his granddaughter, Courtney Richelle Martin of Lubbock; his grandson, Christopher Swartsell of Nashville, Tennessee; and his son-in-law, Coy Martin.
