We are so sorry to hear of Ricky’s death and send our sympathy and love.

We are all so saddened to learn of Ricky’s passing. He was always a bright spot full of energy at family gatherings. In his later years, we lived in different states and didn’t get to visit, but know that he was active in his church and community, with a calling to reach out especially to people who were alone or perhaps house-bound. Ricky had such a good heart, and left the world a better place for having been here. -Carolyn, Cindy, and Dawn

Ricky was my cousin, a bit older than I. I have happy childhood memories of Ricky and his late sister, Kay Boyd West, finding things to entertain my sister and I when we would visit. A walk to the local schoolyard playground was my favorite thing, because there was a merry-go-round which our own school lacked, and Ricky would push it for long spinning rides. Ricky had the best heart and was always there to help anyone at anytime they needed it. I hope he knew what a blessing he was to everyone. He loved the Lord and was so happy and proud to share the word of God with all. You will be missed greatly Ricky.
