Not sure what to say?

Dick was one of the earliest folks that I had a mentoring relationship with once joining Draper back in 1982. His wisdom and knowledge had a notable impact on the direction of my career which has been both enjoyable and fulfilling. I still, to this day, see his face when I think back on those years. I will miss him and wish blessings to his family where I'm sure the loss will be felt more deeply.

I was Lucky Enough to be Dicks neighbor and Friend and Experienced his Lighter Comedic side we would often tell each other a practical joke at each Others Expense all in good fun .I will surely miss all the fun good times He graciously shared with me . Gods Speed to you Dick

Dick was an exceptional person (an absolute great guy) and was as good an engineer and leader as Draper ever had. He was important and influential to many of us in our career development. I will never forget what he did for me personally, I apply lessons learned from him every day. As others have said, he was a tough guy but fair and had a heart of gold. I was lucky enough to stay in touch with Dick and Marilyn after he retired, occasional dinners, phone calls, etc. Dick was the same guy...

I was lucky enough to see Dick in action at work and have him as a professor. I always appreciated seeing how he handled situations and broke down problems. Alot of us are better Engineers because of him. Let his memory live on in all of us. Thank you to his family to sharing him with us. I am so incredibly sorry for your loss.

Dick's impact on the people he led and mentored was truly remarkable. I'm blessed to have been among them. He will be sorely missed and lovingly remembered.

He was a hands on manager who knew all in his group. He also had a great sense of humor!

Our prayers for Richard, may he be granted eternal Peace in God's Kingdom, and may Marilyn, his children, grandchildren, and all those whose lives he touched be comforted during this time.

My deepest sympathy to Dick's family.
I first met Dick on one of his after-hours walks at Draper. He knew everyone and everything that was going on at the lab from first-hand experience. He went out of his way to understand what you were working on and what problems you were having. He would always help when necessary and always showed support. He was always tough but kind and respectful to all and I am grateful for my years at Draper with him.
