Not sure what to say?

I got to know Congressman Dick Schulze back in the 1980's. I came to him about how unfair the Federal Estate Tax was for farm families, He introduced legislation to increase the Estate Tax deduction so that farms could be passed down to the next generation. He and his legislative aide, Rob Hartwell , set up appointments for me to meet with House Ways and Means members to lobby for Estate tax change. He truly was a man for the people, and my life is better having known and worked with him.

I served in Congress with Dick as a Democratic member of the House Ways and Means committee. Despite our partisan differences, Dick and I got along well and I always enjoyed his company. He had a wonderful dry sense of humor.

He was one of the nicest gentlemen you would come across. When my wife turned 50 years of age, I sent him a request just to send her a card. 2 wks after graduation of H.S. she had a near fatal car accident. 2 months in a coma, broken neck, 3/4 of her motor brain was destroyed by a blood clot. He went over and aboard for her. Had a Senate proclamation in her honor. Had it hard bound and sent it to her. To say we TREASURED that for years! My DEEPEST Christian sympathy to ALL family & friends....

I was the Republican county chairman of Chester County for almost 10 years during Dick‘s tenure in Congress he was extremely helpful cooperative, and truly a friend that I could count on any time I needed help certainly a model of what a congressman should be like may he rest in peace, Bill
