I remember meeting brother Dick for the first time on the porch of our home as he came home from the hospital on a summer day wrapped in a blanket. During that year of 1945 my oldest brother, Skip (Raymond,Jr,), kept a diary, and I remember the entry he wrote at the birth of our youngest brother, Richard. As I remember, he simply wrote: " We have a baby brother. We are going to call him Dickie."
Though I was about 7 years older than Dick the years of childhood activities together...
