We grew up together in WF and graduated same year. Sorry to hear of his passing. Always quiet, but so was I.

Sorry to see of Richard’s passing. Mac really enjoyed work with him at Texas Electric. Praying for Linda and William during this difficult time.

Richard's Obituary

Richard Leland Trent, 79, of Wichita Falls, passed away Friday, November 14, 2025.  

Richard was born on August 29, 1946 in Wichita Falls, Texas to the late Howard Leland and Mary Frances (Williams) Trent.  He graduated from Wichita Falls High School in 1964 and went on to proudly serve our country in the United States Navy.  During his time in the Navy, Richard served two tours in Vietnam receiving a National Defense Service Medal and a Vietnam Service Medal with a Bronze Star.  After an honorable discharge from the military, Richard went to work for Texas Electric Service Co., now Oncor, retiring with over 30 years.  Richard loved living in the country, and had a love for all animals and wild life.

Along with his parents, he was also preceded in death by his loving wife, Margaret Trent; and his sister, Patricia Henderson.

He is survived by his brother, William Trent and wife Janice; his sister, Linda Trent; one niece and several nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews who will miss him dearly.

Graveside services honoring Richard will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 19, 2025 at Crestview Memorial Park under the direction of Owens & Brumley Funeral Home in Wichita Falls.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made in honor of Richard to Wichita County Humane Society, 4360 Old Iowa Park Rd., Wichita Falls, TX 76305 (humanesocietyofwichitacounty.org)
