Richard Carl Tully Jr.

Richard Carl “Dick” Tully Jr, 83 of Edinburgh, Indiana passed away August 1, 2025 at his residence. He was born July 12, 1942 in Beech Grove, Indiana. He was the son of Richard C. Tully, Sr. and Rosalind S. (Schilling) Tully. He married Deborah A. (Slachter) Tully on April 20, 1982 and she survives. He is also survived by his sons, Chad (MJ) Tully of Canton, Ohio and Christopher (Jill) Tully of New Palestine, Indiana, and grandchildren, Boden Tully, Jocelyn Tully, Jaime Tully, and Bradley Tully.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother, James Tully.

Dick was a US Air Force veteran. After retiring from the State of Indiana, he moved to Edinburgh from Clinton, Indiana to fill his dream of living on a golf course. As fate would have it, Dick and Deb were fortunate to buy the house next door to Deb’s brother and sister-in-law (Alan and Cindy Slachter). Dick and Deb enjoyed living closer to many extended family in the area.

He enjoyed bowling, golf, and traveling.

A funeral service will be conducted on Saturday, August 16, 2025 at 3:00pm at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Edinburgh, Indiana. Visitation will be from 1:00pm until service time. Interment will be at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, Dick asked that donations be made to Peyton Manning Children’s hospital.
