Passed away Sunday, March 22, 2026 at Vassar Comfort Care; age 79 years. Rich was born on September 29, 1946 in Minot, ND to the late Kenneth Clarence Walker and Solveig Alice Olsen. Rich graduated from Arizona State University with a bachelor’s in education. He was married to Cathy Sibbet on June 27, 2008; she survives him. Rich honorably served in the 101st Airbourne Division of the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was a police officer for the Phoenix, AZ Police Department. Rich was a member of St. Lorenz Lutheran Church and American Legion Post 150.

Surviving besides his wife Cathy are: 3 daughters, Tamara (Kary) Wisely-Dunham, Tifani (David) Thompson, and Misti (Derek) Ress; 10 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren, and 1 brother Jim (Mary) Walker.

Memorial Service will take place on Thursday, May 14, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. at St. Lorenz Lutheran Church, 1030 W. Tuscola St. Frankenmuth, MI. Rich’s family will receive visitors at the church on May 14th from 2:00 p.m. until the time of service. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to St. Lorenz Lutheran Church or American Legion Post 150.
