Richard A. “Richie” Watts passed away peacefully on December 8, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. He was 60 years old.Richie was an avid sports fan whose loyalty ran deep. He proudly cheered on his beloved Philadelphia Flyers and also supported the Phillies, the 76ers, and the Los Angeles Rams. Sports were more than just games to him—they were a source of joy, connection, and spirited conversation with family and friends.Known to many as a kind and generous person, Richie’s compassion touched the lives of all who knew him. He had a steady presence and a gentle heart, offering warmth, humor, and encouragement in both good times and difficult moments. His memory will continue to bring comfort to those who loved him and inspire strength in the face of adversity.Richie will be remembered fondly for his signature words of encouragement:“Remember, Doc—keep smiling.”He is survived by his mother, Gail M. Watts; his father, John C. Watts; his brothers, Steven Watts (and wife Domenica) and Todd Watts (and wife Lori); his uncles, Greg Van Ness (and wife Brenda) and Robert Watts of Massachusetts; his aunt Sara Parker (and husband Michael) of New York; and his cherished nephews and nieces, Anthony, Kelli, Matthew, and Tracey. He is also survived by a great-niece and a great-nephew.Richie’s presence will be deeply missed, but his kindness, humor, and love will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
