So very sorry to hear Uncle Rich is no longer with us. My favorite memory of Uncle Rich was when he would dress up as Santa at Christmas. My deepest sympathy to all who loved him. So very sorry for your loss. May many beautiful memories comfort you.

Richard's Obituaries

Of Brookfield, passed away on Sunday, October 30, 2016 at the age of 87. He battled cancer for the past three years. He leaves behind his loving wife Judi (nee Zakroczymski) and special children David (Donna), Matthew, Kelli (Rick) Erkenbeck, Lisa (James) Mills, and Edward (Joanne) Sutryk. Grampie to Jason, Rebecca, Kevin Wisla, Ashley, Kenneth (Fiancé Rachel Nilsen) Mills, Nicholas (Rachel) Kristen and Joseph Sutryk. Siblings: Frank (Rose) Wisla and Irene Dumnake.Richard was born in Chicago to Frank and Josephine (nee Stronski) Wisla. He was a track runner and won State Championship in 1946, receiving a scholarship to Bradley University. He had a successful career in the Food and Management positions he held in Chicago with Hilton Corp., McCormick Place and Chicago Zoological Society.His career continued to Milwaukee for the next 33 years.His interests we cheering on the Cubs, Bears, Bulls and Blackhawks. (I think he helped the Cubs win the World Series). He was a kind, caring soul that will be very much missed by family and friends. Love you forever,“Chickee” Visitation will be held at the Funeral Home on Saturday, November 12 from 11 AM until the time of memorial service at 1 PM, followed by a reception at the Funeral Home. The family would like to thank Vitas Hospice for their help and support. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Elmbrook Humane Society appreciated.
