Ricky's Obituary

Ricky Allen Walker, 71, of Newcastle, passed away on Friday, February 13, 2026 in Oklahoma City. The son of Jack H. Walker and Betty Jean (Plamann) Walker, Ricky was born in Wichita, Kansas on August 2, 1954.

Ricky grew up in Wichita, Kansas and was a graduate of Junction City High School. Together with his father and brother, he ran Walker Racing Enterprises from 1969 to 1981. He loved building race cars, including those his brother drove, and was considered one of the premier builders in the Midwest.  He and his brother co-owned Walker & Sons Enterprises in Newcastle.  He also helped run the family farm on their property and loved caring for the cattle. He had a deep appreciation for wildlife and stewardship of the land.  In his younger years, Ricky enjoyed snow skiing and racing 4-wheelers on the track he built in the pasture.

Ricky was a long-time member of the Newcastle Free Will Baptist Church.  He loved helping people in any way he could and was always the first to do so when a need arose.  He was more of a grandparent figure than uncle to his great nieces and nephew and loved spending time with all of his family.

Ricky is preceded in death by his father, Jack Walker.

His is survived by his mother, Betty Walker of Oklahoma City but formerly of Newcastle; brother, Bobby Walker and wife Kathy of Newcastle; nephew, J. T. Walker and wife Brunella of Piedmont; niece, Jamie Glover and husband Dustin of Elgin; great nieces, Taylor and Sofia and great nephew, Tommy.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, at Newcastle Free Will Baptist Church.  Burial will follow in the Blanchard Cemetery.  Arrangements are under the direction of Eisenhour Funeral Home of Blanchard.
