Not sure what to say?

" Dear Rino, John and Daniel, only yesterday (October 10, 2024) we learned of the passing of dear Rita. The event did not surprise us but we are very sorry. We met her many years ago and since then, within the limits of distance, we have always kept in touch with the exception of recent times. We will always have a good memory of her, and in the meantime we send you our heartfelt condolences,Giuseppe and Anna".

Ciao Rita, ci mancherai tanto! Ci dispiace per non esserti stata vicino gli ultimi giorni della tua vita. E’ triste ritornare da una vacanza e non trovarti più. Riposa in pace, Rita!

Rita's Obituary

Rita Marie (Mazzone) Di Bartolo, of Medford, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 23, 2024, at the age of 90 while surrounded by her loving family. Born in Boston, she was the daughter of the late Carmine and Mary Mazzone.

Rita was a devoted wife and loving mother. Her life revolved around her family; providing love and support to her children was her primary focus. Through her exceptional Italian cooking and enjoyment of gardening, flower arranging, needlepointing, and painting, she created a warm home full of delightful aromas, beautiful personal touches, and wonderful memories.

Rita was known, not only for her caring nature, but also for her witty personality. She will be deeply missed by her beloved husband, children, extended family, and friends. Her selfless, caring, humorous spirit will be remembered.

Beloved wife of 56 years to Baldassare Di Bartolo of Trapani, Sicily. Devoted mother of S. John Di Bartolo and his husband Todd Alexander of New York, NY, and Daniel Di Bartolo of Hamden, CT. Cherished sister of the late Robert Mazzone and his wife Krystyna. She is also lovingly survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Calling hours will be held in the George L. Doherty Funeral Home, 855 Broadway (Powder House Sq.) Somerville, on Saturday, July 6th, from 10:00AM to 12:00PM, followed by a prayer service at 12:00PM.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.

Services will conclude with a burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Rita's name to Alzheimer's Association or to MSPCA
