Rest on Rita!! We will surely miss you here at Bethesda Medical Clinic. Such a sweet and kind spirit. To the family- we're praying that God will comfort your hearts and give you strength daily.

Words can't even explain such beautiful person inside & out god need u more , see u when I get there & also tell my daughter I love her ...

Rita's Obituaries

Rita Mae Gumms entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, December 20, 2017 at Ochsner Medical Center Westbank.

Companion of Charles Murph. Devoted mother of Charita (Paul) Johnson, Charles, and Charlie Gumms, Chanika Murph. Daughter of Alex Garner and the late Emma Louise Gumms. Sister of Danny, Alex (Enore) Derrick, Keitrel, and Bryant Gumms, Walter Dubby, III, Torres Shaun Morman, Denise Williams, and Alicia Naquin, also survived by 4 grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Age: 40 years a native of Marrero, LA and a resident of Harvey, LA.

Relatives and friends of the family also pastors, officers, and members of Greater Mt. Calvary Church and neighboring churches are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Greater Mt. Calvary Church 1600 Westwood Dr. Marrero, LA on Saturday, December 30, 2017 at 11:00a.m.

Pastor Terry Gullage, Sr. officiating

Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. until service time at the above named church 

Interment: Woodlawn Park Memorial Cemetery-Westwego, LA
