Rita Yoder, age 77 of Bremen, IN, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday morning, January 14, 2026 at the Waters of Wakarusa after a 15-year battle with dementia. Rita was born on January 7, 1949 in Warren, OH to Robert and Lois (Laird) Settle. She grew up in Ohio and moved to Indiana in 1968. On February 27, 1971, Rita married Rollie Yoder in Bremen. Rita and Rollie are members at the Bible Baptist Church in Wakarusa, IN. Rita had worked as a lab technician for local hospitals and then worked for over 15 years as an insurance agent at Rohrer-Weldy Insurance in Wakarusa. Rita is survived by her husband of almost 59 years, Rollie Yoder of Wakarusa, IN; 2 sons: Damien (Brooke) Yoder of Charleston, NC and Ben Yoder of Castle Rock, CO; 2 grandsons: Caleb Yoder of Austin, TX and Evan Yoder of Raleigh, NC; a sister, Jeanette Walters of New Philadelphia, OH; and 2 brothers: Eric (Judy) Settle of FL and Brad (Barb) Settle of Warsaw, IN. Visitation will be held from 9 -11 am on Monday, January 19, 2026 with a funeral beginning at 11am, all at the Bible Baptist Church, Wakarusa, IN. Rev. David Harper will officiate and burial will follow services in South Union Cemetery, Nappanee, IN.
