Bob was my dear friend since our freshman year at Westminster College (PA) in 1967. He took the photographs for our wedding. He visited us in every place we lived, since. He sent birthday cards to our two sons and my wife and I, as well as anniversary cards. They were always signed, simply: 'Blams.' Bob Blamick was a devoted Christian. He was a true friend and a great soul. His influence will endure.

My sympathies to Mr. Blamick's family. He was my Scoutmaster throughout my time in Boy Scouts in Troop 99, and he guided me from Tenderfoot to Eagle. I am now an Assistant Scoutmaster, and I still find inspiration from his leadership, though I haven't seen him but once in the past 20 years. When I was a Scout, I remembered him most for his corny jokes, quirky songs and his terrifying snore. But today (and I mean literally less than 12 hours ago) I asked myself 'What would Mr. Blamick do?'...

Derry ASD has lost one of their finest. He was a kind and thoughtful man that loved to make his co-workers and his students laugh. Bob would count down the days left to the first day of school beginning again. It didn't matter what time of the year it was, posted on his chalk board would be his magic number for a new
year to begin again. So when the students were counting down how many days left to summer
vacation, there on his chalk board were the number of days to the
