My brother was Bob’s next door neighbor for years. We played many a round of golf with Bob. He was a very nice man and a heck of a lot of fun! RIP Bob.

So sorry to hear about his passing. He would let me and his son hang out at his office when we were younger just to have a place to hang out and stay out of trouble which was extremely kind of him. I watched him play a few times with his band and I was always amazed that he could play BOTH the sax and the clarinet at the SAME TIME! My deepest condolences to the family.

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.

Our deepest condolences to you, Jeb, and the entire family. We have the best memories of Bob during all the festivities at Cavaliers. Anthony especially remembers all the patience Bob had while showing him the game of golf. He was such a great joy to be around, always joking and sharing fun stories. We will miss him and remember him fondly always.
With love and prayers.
Scott, Terri and Anthony Ferretti

Robert “Bob”'s Obituary

In Loving Memory of Robert “Bob” Fioretti

Robert “Bob” Fioretti, 88, of Wilmington, DE, passed away surrounded by his loving family on March 30, 2024. A man of remarkable spirit and joy, Bob’s life was a testament to the love he shared and the lives he touched.

Born to Fred and Ada Fioretti, Bob’s journey was one marked by dedication and balance. A proud graduate of Goldey Beacom with a degree in accounting.  He worked tirelessly, not missing a beat up until his passing, while embodying the essence of diligence and commitment to his craft.

Bob’s zest for life was evident in his many passions. An avid golfer, he was a familiar face at the Cavaliers and Rock Manor Country Clubs, where he shared his love for the game. His musical talent, specifically on the saxophone and clarinet, shone brightly with his bands The Major Trio and The Continentals, bringing joy and entertainment to many. His devotion to St. Anthony’s Italian Festival’s procession and the Philadelphia sports teams spoke volumes of his community spirit and enthusiasm.

Above all, Bob cherished the time spent with his family, who stood as the cornerstone of his life. His kindness and patience, quick wit and sense of humor, and his innate ability to celebrate every day made him a beacon of light in the lives of those around him.

Bob leaves behind his beloved wife of 34 years, Bertha “Jeb” Fioretti; his children, Karen Price (Jerry), Scott Boyer (Maryellen), Brian Boyer (Colleen), and Tammy Faragher; his 16 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; his sister, Nita Gryan (Mark); and numerous family members and friends who adored him.

He joins in peace his late parents, his children Debora Kenney and Robert Fioretti Jr., and his sister Floria Smith.

A viewing for family and friends will be held on Monday, April 8, 2024, at 10 am, with services commencing at noon at Charles P. Arcaro Funeral Home, 2309 Lancaster Ave., Wilmington, DE., 19805. Entombment will follow at All Saints Cemetery.

Bob’s memory will live on in the hearts of those he left behind, a legacy of a life well-lived and a man dearly loved.
