I am sincerely sorry for your loss, Ann, Gail, Brenda and family.

Although I didnt know Mr. Campbell personally, I felt like I knew so many wonderful things about him through his grandson Tanner. My heartfelt condolences to his family. He was definitely loved so very much.

Real great guy I was friends with at mullims high school. Bobby had many friends. I was lucky to call him a friend.

No better way to say it, Bobby was just a super fine person. I was proud to call him my friend. Rest in peace.

Bobby was a good person...the same every time I saw him!!!!

Robert Burke “Bobby” Campbell

Mr. Robert Burke “Bobby” Campbell, 77, husband of Shelby Herlong Campbell, of Mullins, gained his new body during the afternoon of Tuesday, August 5, 2025, at his residence, following a courageous battle with cancer, with his loving family at his side.

Bobby, as everyone knew him, was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friends to many, was born on September 1, 1947, in Marion County, South Carolina. Bobby was the son of the late Aubrey Campbell and the late Dot Turner Campbell. Bobby grew up around the Mullins and Marion area of Marion County. attending school, working and starting a family within the community. He was a retired Plant Manager with Supreme Lighting Company of Mullins. Bobby loved his family, always there to help them and to spoil all his grandbabies and great grandbabies. He loved to make everyone laugh, he was the biggest joke teller there was around Mullins. He’d always leave you with a smile. Bobby enjoyed traveling dirt roads around town. He would cruise them every day and especially enjoyed it when he’d spot deer out and about on his little journeys.

Surviving Mr. Campbell is his wife of the home, Shelby Herlong Campbell; his two daughters: Tina M. (Jeff) Martin of Mullins and Christy Campbell Collins of Mullins; his grandchildren: Jordan (Allison) Lewis, Brittany (Matthew) Cook, Kayla (Wes) Rogers, Kyle Tanner Collins, Amber (Chris) Vick, and Brooke (Wesley) Young; his great grandchildren: Pearson Lewis, Emma Grace Cook, Parker Kate Cook, Taryn Rogers, Ryker Rogers, Braylee Wilson (the apple of his eye), Camden Vick, Cayson Vick, Ansleigh Vick, Khloe Young, and Karoline Young; three sisters: Gail Richardson, Anne (Buck) Turner, and Brenda (Roy) Causey; along with several nieces and nephews, and close friends.

Mr. Campbell was preceded in death by a brother, Kenny Campbell, a sister, Carolyn Campbell and a special uncle, Lee Campbell.

The family of Mr. Campbell will receive friends during the evening of Thursday, August 7, from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. at Cox-Collins Funeral Home.

A funeral service for Mr. Bobby will be held Friday afternoon, August 8 at 3:00 P.M. in the Sanctuary of Mullins First Baptist Church. Burial will follow in McMillan Cemetery off of Van Dyke Rd. in Mullins. 

Memorials may be made to the Christian Life Center, c/o Mullins First Baptist Church, PO Box 443, Mullins, SC 29574. The family extends a heartfelt “thank you” to the staff and nurses of McLeod Hospice and Dr. Bajwa.
