Not sure what to say?

I always have a smile when I think of Bob - we lived next door to him when I was a kid/teenager. When my parents would go away on the occasional weekend, we did teenager things - like have parties. Bob never "ratted" us out to our parents. One morning he recounted how the music made his bed bounce across the floor and right out the window: he had to go downstairs and outside to pick up his bed and carry it back upstairs - over and over again! He had us in stitches with his humorous flair...

Robert "Bobby"'s Obituary

Robert “Bobby” S. Weaver was a beloved partner, father, grandfather, brother, and friend.  He left this world peacefully on August 22, 2022 at the age of 96.

A WWII and Korean War veteran, Bobby served with honor in the Navy. Among numerous medals of recognition, most recently received the Korean War Ambassador for Peace Medal in 2016 for his service during the war. A draftsman by trade, Bobby lived a full life and loved being outdoors. He created wonderful childhood memories with his family and would reminisce about the adventures they had at their family’s home. Throughout his life, Bobby’s favorite moments were spent with friends and family, traveling, going to the beach, taking endless walks, casino trips (even if they “took his money”) and indulging in an occasional “nipper” (Manhattan). Bobby also had a passion for flying - he had his pilot’s license and logged endless hours in the sky. Bobby was an avid tennis player and the court was his second home until the young age of 90. Bobby was a loving life-long partner of the late Helen Ferguson. Survived by his children: Anne Muller (Steven), Robert S. Weaver, Jr (Susan), Ruthann Weaver, Sharon Grams; grandchildren: Stephanie Bowling (Jeffrey), Lindsey Gidjunis (Mark), Robert Weaver (Elise), Sarah Viana (Tony), Michael Weaver, Sheree Bonnenberg, Richard Bonnenberg; and great grandchildren: Olivia, Corey, Jackson, Emma, Emily, Connor and McKinley. He was predeceased by his parents, Sylvester and Alma, and brothers, Harry and John.Bobby will be warmly remembered in so many ways, and was an endless source of happiness and positive energy (always with a great joke on tap). While Bobby may no longer be with us, he left behind countless cherished memories, moments, and traditions for us to treasure forever. Relatives and friends are invited to gather Thursday September 1, 2022 10am to 10:45am BURNS FUNERAL HOME 9708 Frankford Ave. Phila. Pa 19114 followed by his religious service 11am. Interment.
