Robert Edward Britt, 82, was born on May 25, 1943, to William Henry and Margaret Beatrice (Adams) Britt in Dermott, Arkansas. He passed away at home surrounded by his loved ones on December 23, 2025.
Robert was a joyful, caring, and dependable man, someone people could count on without question. Knowledgeable and steady by nature, he moved through life with quiet confidence and an open heart. He loved fishing for anything that would bite and especially treasured taking his grandchildren along, passing down patience, stories, and a love for the water. Golfing was another pleasure, enjoyed for both the game and the company it brought.
Saved as a child, his Christian faith remained a constant guide throughout his life. He graduated from Sheridan High School in Arkansas, in 1961, and on May 29, 1964, shortly after he turned 21, Robert married the love of his life, Judy Trautwein, beginning a partnership that shaped everything that followed. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and served during the Cuban Missile Crisis. He built his career as a car salesman, where his reliability, honesty, and easy manner served him well. Robert’s life was marked by consistency, kindness, and a steady devotion to family, faith, and simple joys.
He was preceded in death by his parents William Henry Britt and Margaret Beatrice Knight; siblings Richard Britt, Randy Britt, and Betty Wilson; and nephews Bradley Duncan and Richard Wayne Britt.
He is survived by his wife Judy Britt of the Home; children Stacey Alcorn of Blanchard and Lance Britt of Blanchard; siblings Larry Wayne Britt, Sandra and husband Jerry Brumley, and Earline Smith; grandchildren Dalton and wife Liliana Alcorn and Dawson and wife Sophie Alcorn; great-grandchildren Trevor, Rowdy, Autumn, Lakelynn, and Britton; niece Kelsey and husband Richard Hoefer; and numerous other family and friends.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM, Monday, December 29, 2025, at New Beginnings Church in Blanchard. With a private burial at Fort Sill National Cemetery in Elgin at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Eisenhour Funeral Home of Blanchard. Online obituary and guestbook are available at www.eisenhourfh.com.
