Robert Elmer Buckner, Sr.

Robert Elmer Buckner, Jr., 70, of Payneway passed away August 31, 2021 at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro. He was a retired Police Officer, a US Army-Vietnam Era-Veteran, attended Church of Christ and was a Mason. Mr. Buckner was born October 23, 1950 in Sunset to Robert and Octavia McBride Buckner, Sr. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Cecil Buckner. He is survived by his wife Coreatha Buckner of Payneway, three daughters Audrey Buckner Crutcher, Jennifer Buckner and Robin L. Wilson of West Memphis, one sister Artherine Coleman of Lepanto, 12 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Visitation will be Saturday, September 11, 2021 from 12-2 with the funeral at 2:00 PM at Wilson Funeral Home in Tyronza. Burial will be at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery in Cherry Valley, AR with Pastor Terry Carter officiating. Wilson Funeral Home in Tyronza, AR is in charge.
