Robert Francis Cope

Mr. Robert Francis Cope Sr., of Warrenton, MO, passed away on Monday, November 3, 2025. He was born in Washington, MO, on July 1, 1945, to the late Robert and Irene (nee: Inlow) Cope. Robert had reached the age of 80 years.

Robert served his country honorably in the United States Army from 1968 to 1974. After his military service, he had a career with in trucking industry and farming. Robert was a man who found joy in simple pleasures. He was known for his big personality- bold, fun, and kindness. Robert loved a good western book and smoking his corn cob pipe. He enjoyed singing and entertaining his friends while he would karaoke his favorite tunes. He loved spending time at the Waffle House patronizing with his friends while he drank his coffee and shared stories from the past.

Robert is survived by his son, David Cope; four grandchildren, Robert Smith, Heather Smith, Leeann Cope, Louis Cope; five great grandchildren, RJ, Jaden, Summer, Carson, Michael; one sister, Bonnie Nordwald, other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Irene Cope; one son, Robert Cope Jr.; two brothers, Charlie and Lloyd Cope. 

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Robert's life on November 10, 2025, at Martin Funeral Home in Warrenton, from 10:00 AM- 12:00 PM. A funeral service will begin at 12:00 PM with a burial to follow at the Providence family cemetery with full military honors for Robert. Online condolences may be made atmartinfuneral.net.
