Bob passed peacefully of natural causes at a care home for dementia patients in Santa Rosa, CA He was born in Martinez, CA to Joseph and Marie Curtin and raised in San Rafael, CA. He graduated from Marin Catholic HS in 1956 and served in the US Army at Fort Ord and Presidio. After a brief attendance at the Seminary, he joined his father in business that later became known as Curtin Air Freight, Inc. He successfully grew the business into a prominent company known throughout the industry. In 1964 he met his wife Barbara and her four children William, Christopher (CJ), Michael and Katharine, for which he fully embraced as his own. They soon enhanced the family with the birth of their son Robert JR, (Bobby) and daughter Annemarie. While residing in Kentfield, CA, he cherished his large family and loved all the activities that they were involved in. After the death of his wife Barbara in 2000, Bob later married Adele. As an avid sportsman, with particular passion for bowling, tennis and golf, it was golf that captivated him the most. He thoroughly enjoyed sharing his passion for golf with Adele and his friends in the Hidden Valley Community. He was admired for his gentle soul, his optimism and for never uttering a negative about others, but for always seeing the best in family, friends and employees. Bob is survived by his wife Adele, his sister’s Carole Lang (Cliff) and Anne Perry (Roy), children William (Susan), Christopher, Michael (Nancy), Bobby (Eileen), Annemarie Cotter (Bill), Adele’s daughter Kris Patalano (Dan) and son Todd Foley, and too many grandchildren and great grandchildren to list – who all loved him dearly. His first wife Barbara, daughter Katharine, and his sister Jeanne precede him. A memorial service to celebrate his life will occur on February 4, 2017, 2 PM, at the Hidden Valley Community Center, Lake County, CA
