Robert Dale Geoghagan, 71, of Pensacola, Florida, entered his eternal rest on October 28, 2025. Born on Christmas Day, December 25, 1953, Robert’s life was a gift to all who knew him.
A gifted athlete from an early age, Robert’s talent on the basketball court was extraordinary. He was such a standout player that he began starting on the varsity basketball team while still in the 8th grade. His defensive intensity and leadership earned him the title of Defensive Player of the Year in Walton County his senior season. Basketball remained one of his lifelong passions and an enduring source of joy and pride.
After high school, Robert moved to Pensacola, Florida, where he founded Robert’s Woodworking and later Bear Foundation Corporation, a company specializing in roofing and custom cabinetry. His craftsmanship, attention to detail, and strong work ethic built a lasting reputation in the community.
Upon retiring, Robert enjoyed the simple pleasures that filled his days with peace and contentment—walks along the beach, tinkering with cars, his daily Starbucks visits, caring for his beloved cats and dogs, reading, and cooking. Yet above all, nothing meant more to Robert than his family. His life was anchored by his deep and abiding relationship with Jesus Christ, which guided him through every season of life.
Robert was preceded in death by his father, Clayton Geoghagan, and his mother, Erline Harrison Geoghagan.
He is survived by his son, Brad Geoghagan and wife Brandi; daughters Joanna Geoghagan and Caroline Geoghagan; brothers Donnie Geoghagan and wife Carol, Dewayne Geoghagan and wife Michelle; sister Deena Curran and husband Dave; and his cherished grandchildren Joshua Geoghagan, Daniel Geoghagan, and Jadyn Dittenber.
Robert will be remembered for his kindness, his sense of humor, his quiet strength, and his unwavering love for his family and his Lord.
Graveside services for Robert Dale Geoghagan will be 2PM Sunday November 2, 2025 at Paxton Cemetery with Fate Dukes officiating.
