Robert's Obituary
Robert Gardner, 81, of New Haven, WV, passed away October 5, 2025, at his home, following an extended illness.
He was born August 5, 1944, in Point Pleasant, WV, a son of the late Carl A. Gardner Jr and Marjorie Jean (McDaniel) Gardner. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by one sister, Becky Simpson of New Haven, WV.
Robert was a graduate of Wahama High School and a steelworker most of his working life. He was also a United States Army Veteran.
Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Carol Virginia (Fields) Gardner; son, Christopher Andrew Gardner of New Haven, WV; daughter, Kelly Long (Rodney) of Bidwell, OH; brothers, Bill Gardner (Peggy) of Point Pleasant, WV, Carl A. “Corky” Gardner (Dixie) of Point Pleasant, WV, Danny Gardner (Lisa) of New Haven, WV; grandchildren, Kasey White (Jamie), Allicia Neesmith (Matthew), and Chance Gardner; great grandchildren, Lilly Gibbs, Maxton White, Jaxson Neesmith, Caroline Neesmith, and Sophia Neesmith.
In honoring his wishes, there will be no public service at this time.
