Robert “Bobby” Clayton Golson Sr. passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 3, 2021 at the age of 63. He was born in Wichita falls, Texas on December 29,1957 and raised with his two brothers and four sisters in Randlett, Oklahoma.
Bobby married Toni Pugliesi and had three kids, Robert, Lora, and Matthew. Bobby went on to run a successful business as a mobile home service and repairman while raising his family. He later retired to enjoy time with his family and most importantly, his grandbabies. He was a loving husband, devoted father, and a monumental Poppa G.
He is preceded in death by his mother and father, Henry Clay “Cowboy” Golson and Wanda Laverne Golson; his brothers, Joe and Johnny Golson; his sister, Kay Golson; and nieces and nephews.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Toni Golson; his two sons, Robert Golson with his wife Abba, and Matthew Golson and his wife Misty; his daughter, Lora Butler and her husband Billy; sisters, Pat Burroughs, Donna Eakin, and Darla Bishop. He is also survived by his nine grandchildren and many others he considered his grandbabies. We love you Poppa G.

Graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 5, 2021 at Burkburnett Memorial Cemetery with Bro. Pat Bintner, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Owens & Brumley Funeral Home in Burkburnett.
