Rob graduated from Henderson County High School in 1964, and then from Murray State University in 1968, after which he enlisted in the Army and retired as a 1st Lt. from his duty and tour in Vietnam.

Rob was the type of person who would do anything for you at the drop of a hat and cared deeply about all of his family and friends. Quoted by his sister, Nancy, “He was the best brother ever. He was so selfless, he always cared, and was always willing to help with whatever was needed.”
Rob had an outgoing personality, and he never met a stranger. He served and loved his country and respected anyone who did the same. He was a member of the Veteran’s Association, and his favorite pastimes were fishing with his son, Jamie, and collecting antiques.
Rob was a wonderful father, brother, uncle, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend. He was loved and will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
