Not sure what to say?

Didn’t know your Dad personally, Bryan, it reading your beautiful tributes to your Dad, you absolutely possess many of his qualities. Deepest sympathy to you and your family.

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow. Wish I could be there with you at Mass but have commitment I can not get out of. So Sorry. Lovingly, Kathy

Loving prayers and blessings to you, Bryan and the family.

It's been awhile since I saw you in person Uncle Bob. I love you very much and I feel your Spirit very strongly. I will hold on to the memories. RIP

Pop, what a journey we had. It wasn’t always easy, but it was ours — full of love, laughter, and everything in between. You were the first to hold me when I came into this world, and being there to hold your hand as you left felt like how it was meant to be. I just wish it didn’t have to happen so soon.

My phone feels too quiet without your calls. My days feel a little duller without your laugh. And there’s this space in my heart that just feels empty without you. But I know you’re...

Robert's Obituary

Robert “Bob” C. Hayes Jr., 87

Born on November 30, 1937, in Bondsville, Massachusetts, Bob was a man of strength, faith, and heart. He proudly served his country through a long career in the United States Navy, eventually retiring with the same quiet determination that marked everything he did.

Bob was the kind of man who made an impact wherever he went. He valued family above all else and lived his life with integrity, kindness, and a sense of humor that never failed to bring a smile. He had a heart of gold and a quick wit, and he never passed up enjoying a good joke. His Catholic faith was a steady guide throughout his life.

Outside of his military service, Bob gave his time to his community—coaching youth baseball, serving in the Knights of Columbus, and delivering meals to those in need through Meals on Wheels. He found joy in giving, in laughter, and in the everyday moments that build a meaningful life.

He is survived by his second wife, Joan; his children Susan, Robert, Paul, Angela, and Bryan; his beloved siblings Jean, Margo, and Julie; 16 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. He is reunited in peace with his first wife, Jeanette; his children Gary and Peter; and siblings Pat, Joan, and Ronald.

To know Bob was to know generosity, resilience, and warmth. He leaves behind a family who will forever carry his love, his stories, and his laughter in their hearts.
