He was my first boss when I was at Seacrest High School.I worked at the Recall downtown, the one at 20th St. and Federal and the one on Palmetto next to the Baptist Church. Downtown I learned to make sodas, sundaes, milk shakes and the special 60's treat, the cherry coke. Bob and Whitey treated my girlfriend Tina Kelley and I so good and we all kept each other smiling. He was so devoted to our Pioneer Club and we have missed him at the last few meetings, We will be honoring his memory at...

Janice and I were saddened to hear of Bob's passing. I enjoyed our conversations while transporting him to various appointments over the past years. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your families.

I remember our neighborhood Recall Drugs. Mr. Keith and Dr. Jackson, DDS had a deal where we could get a free ice cream cone if we had no cavities!! Condolences to his wonderful family.

From the first time I met Mr Keith several years ago (he is my brother's father-in-law), I was impressed with his easy manner, the way he listened when we talked, his humor about so many things, and his pleasant personality. I loved hearing stories of his music-making, though I never got the opportunity to hear him play myself. when we visited over in Sabastien from our home in Tampa, he & I would sit and talk about jazz, the types of music we liked and why. ROBERT's Obituary

Robert E. Keith, Sr., 96 of Sebastian, FL died April 7, 2019 at VNA Hospice House in Vero Beach, FL.  He was born in West Blocton, Alabama and had been a resident of Sebastian since 2002 coming from Boca Raton, FL.

Bob graduated from Alabama API school of pharmacy (now Auburn University) in 1949. He opened his first drug store in Boca Raton in 1953 when the population was only 1200. He retired and closed the Rexall Drug Store on Palmetto Park Road, Boca Raton in 1990.

He served in the United States Navy during WWII. He was a member of the Boca Raton Pioneer Club.

He served on the Board of Boca Raton Federal Savings & Loan; member of Boca Raton Chamber of Commerce and attended the First Presbyterian Church in Sebastian.

Bob is survived by his wife of 36 years, Phyllis Bowman Keith of Sebastian; sons, Dr. Robert E. Keith Jr. (Diane) of Auburn, AL, Thomas S. Keith (Tatiana) of Pensacola, FL; daughter, Janis Martin (Jerry) of DeBary, FL; brother, William (Bill) Keith of Destin, FL; stepdaughters, Jennifer Bowman Finley of Alpharetta, GA, Joy Bowman Thomas (Scott) of Clayton, NC; 8 grandchildren; 9 Great Grandchildren; 4 step grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his first wife, Dorothy Jo Keith, mother of his children; two sisters, Barbara Schnake and Jan Selva.
