I am so sorry to hear of Robert’s passing. A man of incredible character. I worked with him at RDS and he was always so kind and so helpful. He talked a lot about his family and his great love of all of them. We bonded over the fact that I reminded him of one of his daughters. A wonderful man who will be missed by many. I've known Robert a long time. He use to attend our church, St. Paul Lutheran in Leavenworth, KS. He had such a soft gentle voice, full of kindness. I worked with Robert for several years at Retail Data Systems Kansas City Office. We spent many nights together doing all night Grocery store upgrades along with trips out of town doing upgrades to various customers in other states as well including trips to Alaska. Robert Francis Kincaid, of Leavenworth, KS, passed at his home on July 11, 2025. He was born on September 13, 1951, in Jersey City, NJ, the son of Robert Francis Kincaid, Sr., and Harriet (Hagen) Kincaid.
Robert married Jean Louise Ostertag on September 26, 1969, in Atchison, KS, and she survives of the home. He is also survived by his children, Robert Lee Kincaid, René Ann Gowan, Rebecca Lynn Kincaid; a sister, Kathy Powell; sixteen grandchildren and five great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, and siblings, Alison Trautloff, Jannifer Lee Crowe, Daniel Kincaid and Robert Dean Kincaid.
Robert was employed at Rockwell International for ten years before taking a position with Retail Data Systems as a computer technician where he worked until his retirement. He enjoyed gardening, woodworking and carpentry, playing chess and working with model trains. He spent most of his free time as a Ham Radio Operator, call name NØCKI, where he communicated with veterans and wounded warriors. He will always be loved and missed by his family.
A funeral service will be Monday, July 21, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church with Pastor Jacob Dandy officiating. Burial will follow in Rosedale Cemetery in Doniphan County. A visitation with the family will be on Sunday, from 4:30-6:00 p.m. at the Arensberg Pruett Funeral Home. Memorials can be made to Wounded Warriors or St. Jude Children’s Hospital. Funeral care has been entrusted to the Arensberg-Pruett Funeral Home in Atchison.
