Robert Charles Loewer of Brinkley, passed away on Sunday, December 24th at the age of 88. Born in Memphis, Tennessee on October 25, 1935, he was the fourth born to Ernest and Elizabeth Marie Loewer. Robert received formal education through the public schools and became a 1953 graduate of Brinkley High School.
He chose to continue his studies at University of Arkansas in Fayetteville for four years. Robert was well known in the local community as a farmer. He was also on the Board of Directors at Riceland Foods in Stuttgart and one of the original Board Members at First National Bank in Brinkley.
As a longtime member of the First Baptist Church in Brinkley, Robert was active through the years as a Sunday School Teacher and Deacon.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Elizabeth Loewer Sr., son, William "Bill" Charles Loewer; sister, Kathryn Loewer; and brother, Ernest Loewer Jr.
He is survived by his wife Patricia; son, Larry (Bobbie Lynn) Loewer, David (Lisa) Loewer; daughter, Patricia (Scott) Robertson and sister, Martha J. Caudle. Five Grandchildren: Andrew Harvey, Bailey Robertson, Ava Robertson, Kathryn Breaux and Laura Loewer. Three great-grandchildren: Brooks Harvey, Hudson Paul Harvey and Wren Breaux.
Visitation will be at 1:00 P.M. Thursday at the Brinkley First Baptist Church with Services following at 2:00 P.M on December 28th. Burial will follow at Johnson Cemetery in Wheatley.
