Not sure what to say?

I have never seen Ron without a HUGE smile on his face. Although I had never worked with Ron on any projects his reputation proceeded him. He loved sharing his knowledge with everyone. He will be missed. I salute you my brother. Rest in Peace.

Our thoughts are with the family and friends at this time.

Robert "Micky"'s Obituary

Robert McKinley Harrigan, 76, of Rohnert Park, passed away unexpectedly at home. He was a cherished husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. Rob had a special ability to make everyone feel valued and at ease with his great smile, sense of humor, and, of course, a great story.

Born in Marin County, he spent the majority of his life in Sonoma County.  He was lucky to live within walking distance of a golf course, where he honed his golfing skills and would spend time talking and visiting with neighbors on his trek to and from the golf course.

Robert proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps. Later in life, he became a member of the Marine Corps League Det. 686 of Santa Rosa, assisting every year with Toys for Tots.  He earned his black belt in Karate at the Sonoma County Martial Arts Center under Mr. Herb Cody.  Lastly, he was a proud member of the UA Local 38 Plumbers and Pipefitters Union for 55 years, beginning as an apprentice, working his way up to commercial plumbing, estimator, and project manager. He used his experience and skills to teach numerous apprentice plumbers over 10 years through UA Local 38 in Santa Rosa.  One of his proudest accomplishments was realizing his dream of training his son as an estimator and project manager while working side by side with him every day.

Rob is survived by his wife, son, three grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, as well as three sisters, several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, step-father and brother.

Family was very important to Rob.  “Daddio” as his kids called him, loved to surround himself with family, laughing, sharing meals and stories (some of those stories would be told more than once).  At these family gatherings and more, he could often be heard to say, “I’m having a ball”. Rob will be truly missed, leaving a large hole in the hearts of his family and friends.

A private celebration of life will be held in January.  In lieu of flowers or cards, please consider a donation to Wounded Warriors, Wounded Warrior Project - Donate,  or the Alzheimer’s Association, Alzheimer's Association | Alzheimer's Disease & Dementia Help.
