Robert D. Nepean

Robert Duane Nepean, age 73, formerly of Wappapello, passed away Tuesday, February 17, 2026 in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. He was born September 6, 1952 in Oceanside, California, the son of Robert J. Nepean and Jean (Page) Nepean-Burchard.

Bob worked at Arvin Meritor Automotive Factory in Dexter for many years until his retirement. On March 16, 1971, he married Carolyn Thompson in Sycamore, Illinois, and she preceded him in death on July 24, 2015. Bob found great joy in the outdoors and especially cherished time spent hunting, fishing, and working with horses.

Preceding him in death are his parents Robert Nepean and Jean Nepean-Burchard, his wife, Carolyn Nepean, and one brother, James Nepean.

Survivors includes two children, Robert Nepean and his wife Wendy of Wappapello, Stacey Anderson and her husband Daniel of Poplar Bluff, two brothers, Mike Nepean of Minnesota, Danny Nepean of Wappapello, and one sister, Julie Griffith of Wappapello. 

Also surviving are 9 grandchildren; Cara Jolly and her husband Brandon, John Ziegler and his fiance' Cierra, Colten Anderson, Bailey Anderson, Matthew Anderson, Madison Anderson, Tyler Nepean and his wife Shellcea, Trenton Nepean and his wife Abby, Ally Mangum and her husband Nate, along with 10 great grandchildren and many other family and friends.  

Graveside services were held at 11:00 AM Friday, February 20th, at the Shiloh Church Cemetery in Shook with Bro. Jeremy McAtee officiating.
