Cow Head, NL.Passed peacefully away in the presence of his loving family Robert Gordon Payne at the Bonne Bay Health Centre, in Norris Pt, NL, on Friday, June 26th, 2015, at the age of 87 years.Robert leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his children: Ruby (Jim) Ellsworth, Robert (Marie), Beatrice (Greavett) Brown, Rufus (Diane), Brian (Kim), & John (Joy), his 16 grandchildren, his 33 great grandchildren, 5 great great grandchildren, his siblings: Lucy Payne, Nathaniel (Eva) Payne, Maureen (Harry) Woodman, Geraldine Gaslard, & Shirley (Dennis) Gaslard, sisters-in-law: Loretta Payne, & Margaret Payne, brother-in-law Joseph Hatcher, and his homecare worker: Marilyn Brown. Robert also leaves to mourn a large number of nieces, nephews, other relatives, extended family & friends. Robert was predeceased by his wife Marina nee Payne, daughter Mary, great grandchild Kyle, parents: Agnes & Alexander Payne, brothers: Harold & Clifford, sister Mavis and brothers-in-law: Carl Payne, Joseph Gaslard, and daughter-in-law Patricia Payne.The family will be receiving relatives and friends from St. Mary's Anglican Church in Cow Head, today, Saturday, June 27th, 2015, from the hours of 7-9 pm, and continue on Sunday, June 28th, 2015, from the hours of 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will also take place from the Anglican Church on Monday, June 29th, 2015, at 2:pm with Rev: Terry Rose officiating. The burial will follow at the family plot at the Church Cemetery in Cow Head, NL.
