Not sure what to say?

I am saddened to learn of Robert's passing. We graduated from Vance Senior High in 1978, and were in home room together for three years. We also participated in Drama Club and the play, "Bats in the Belfry", our Senior year. He was my friend, and a very talented man. We would always say, Hello, and talk a while when our paths crossed, especially at Wal-mart. I pray for the comfort and peace of his family and all those who love him. We will see you again, in the Sweet By and By. I know you are...

So sorry for your loss , I wish I could have attended Roberts home going he was beautiful inside and out , he was truly loved by many , may God Bless his Soul into Heaven

Robert's Obituary

Robert Lee Peace was born on March 4, 1958, in Vance County, North Carolina, to the late Horace Thomas Peace and Lillie Mae Kelly Peace. He departed this life on Saturday, January 18, 2026, at his residence.

Robert was a graduate of Vance Senior High School. After completing his education, he proudly served his country by joining the United States Army, where he served faithfully for twelve and a half years.

Upon returning home to Henderson, North Carolina, Robert became a dedicated member of the workforce. He was employed with Schewel’s Furniture for more than fifteen years and later with Walmart Supercenter, where he worked for an additional fifteen years.

Robert’s heart was forever filled with joy, and his spirit was continually uplifted by the beauty of song. He had an extraordinary gift for turning strangers into friends and brought warmth and laughter wherever he went. His love for family and friends was truly inspiring. Robert had a passion for singing, acting, and playing pool—passions that were simply contagious. One of the most treasured memories of Robert will always be the joy he shared through song and how he illuminated the world with his love of karaoke.

Robert was preceded in death by his brothers, James “Jimmy” Peace, Jackie Peace, and Billy Peace.

He leaves to cherish his loving memories: three brothers, Horace Peace (Lillian) of New Jersey, Wilbert Peace (Gwen) of Sacramento, California,  and Joe T. Peace (Lisa) of Henderson, North Carolina; two sisters, Carolyn Bullock and Jessie Hargrove (Louis), both of Henderson, North Carolina; a special niece, Tonya Hanks; a special nephew, Germar Dunston; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and dear friends.
