Robert (Sam) Lloyd "Sam" Brinker

Robert Lloyd Sam Brinker, 87, of Peachtree City, passed away August 28, 2012. He was born in Jeannette, PA on December 24, 1924 to Paul Brinker & Emma Lane Brinker. Sam was proud to be a World War II Marine Veteran serving as a Corporal with tours in Okinawa and Iwo Jima. Later he became a salesman for General Tire Co. He was preceded in death by his parents & sisters Elsie Brinker & Jane Sanner.He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Helen Brinker of Peachtree City, GA; daughters, Judy Taylor & husband Robert of Adairsville, GA, Sue Vandiver & husband Ronnie of Sharpsburg, GA; sons Gary Brinker & wife Karen of N. Huntingdon, PA, Robert Brinker & wife Vicki of Cumming, GA, Bruce Brinker & wife Sheryl of Jeannette, PA, Jeffrey Brinker & wife Trudy of N. Huntingdon, PA along with 15 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.A Funeral Service will be held Friday, August 31, 2012 at 3:00 PM in the Peachtree City Chapel of Carl J. Mowell & Son with Rev. Chris Perkins officiating. Burial will follow at Westminster Memorial Gardens with military honors.
