Not sure what to say?

I offer my deepest sympathy to Mr. Robert Sanchez's family, including his brother Micheal and wife, plus his sister. Although our meeting was brief, he had an amiable nature and fondness for rock bands. May he rest in peace, and may eternal light illuminate his path.

I'm at warmsprings rehab right now and won't be able to be there for His funeral. In 2010 I met Rob at the San Antonio Airport as we both worked for the city. Different departments but same place. He would use the kitchenette in my department. I'd noticed he had a chessboard with him and struck up a friendly conversation. Rob and I would meet for lunch about 4am that year as we both worked the same graveyard shift. We'd play chess and talk about Jesus. One day he showed up to the church where...

Robert was a good friend to the family since I was a young boy. Will be greatly missed.

Uncle Robert, you will be missed by so many people that we’re blessed to be in your company. Your bright light may have dimmed here but there is no doubt that your light is bright in heaven. I know your body is whole and healthy and you’re running with the angels. I know grandma, grandpa and my mom are happy to be reunited with you. May your sweet soul rest in peace. Until we meet again

All my love,
Cynthia

Robert “Big Rob” Sanchez Jr. went to be with the Lord on July 25, 2025, at the age of 61.

Rob, from San Antonio, was a self-taught guitarist who ended up playing bass in his church band.
