Robert's Obituary

Robert Wayne Secoy, 65, of Burkburnett, passed away Friday, January 14, 2022.

The family will receive friends between 6 and 7:30 p.m. Monday, January 17, 2022 at Owens & Brumley Funeral Home in Burkburnett.  Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 18, 2022 in the chapel of Owens & Brumley Funeral Home with Rev. Joe Coombes, officiating.  Interment will follow at Burkburnett Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Owens & Brumley Funeral Home in Burkburnett.

A son of the late Charles Allen Secoy and Margie Sue Carson Secoy, Robert was born on August 9, 1956.  He married the love of his life, Patricia Brogdon, on January 14, 1977.  He served our country proudly in the United States Air Force Reserves for 12 years.  Robert worked in the oil and gas industry for over 40 years.  He was a longtime member of First Baptist Church of Burkburnett.  In his younger years, Robert enjoyed playing softball.  He was an avid NASCAR fan and enjoyed collecting all NASCAR memorabilia, and enjoyed reading, music, and most of all, spending time with his family.

Along with his parents, he was also preceded in death by his father-in-law, Jimmy Brogdon.

He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Patricia Secoy; his daughter, Amy Secoy; his son, Jimmy Secoy; his brothers and sister, Kenny Secoy and wife Cindy, Laura Beagles and husband Doug, and John Secoy and wife DiAnn; his mother-in-law, Louise Brogdon; his brother-in-law, Mike Brogdon and wife Sherri’; and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends who will miss him dearly.
