Robert David Shepard, Sr., 87, died peacefully in his home September 18. Born June 8, 1927 to the late David James and Florence (Lamare) Shepard in Worcester, Mass. Robert worked for Bell Atlantic as a clerk for years. He was an avid collector, especially stamps, coins and books. He had a love for the garden, planting and growing his vegetables, the old western movies but by far his greatest love was his grandchildren. Robert is survived by his wife of 58 years, Lois E. (Berg) Shepard; sons, Robert David Shepard, II of Mt. Airy, Jeffrey Alan Shepard of Brooklyn Park; daughters, Linda Carole Slomski of Pasadena and Cathy Jeanne Rogers of Glen Burnie; 5 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
